11th October 2013 Conference
On the 11th of October the conference entitled: "From basic research to translational medicine through biotechnology" was held at the Maffei Hall of the Chamber of Commerce of Cremona. The event was organised within the research projects Superpig and Ex Ovo Omnia.
The conference had as its objective the dissemination of current knowledge in the field of organ transplantation, stem cells and biotechnologies.
10th October 2013
On the 10th of October the project meeting of Superpig research program was held at University of Sacro Cuore of Cremona. During the meeting all the results obtained in the last few months were presented. In the afternoon of the same day, the Scientific and Executive meetings were also held.
8th March: Superpig research meetiing
On the 8thof March the project meeting of Superpig research program was held at University of Sacro Cuore of Cremona. All the researches involved in the project took part at the meeting and for each sub-project the results obtained in the last six months of activity were presented. In the afternoon of the same day, the Scientific and Executive meetings were also held.
12th October 2012 Conference "Superpig: a research project for animal and human heath"
It was held on October the 12th at the Maffei Hall of the Chamber of Commerce of Cremona the conference "Superpig: a research project for the humans and animals health."
The conference was organized under the program of R&D Superpig. During the conference it was illustrated the state of the art in the use of large animals as models in the field of biotechnology and their use in biomedicine for organ and tissue transplantation, as well as the use of induced pluripotent stem cells for cardiac disease.
11th October 2012: Meeting of Superpig project
On the 11th of October, the Superpig research meeting was held at the University of Cremona. The results obtained so far were presented and discussed by each team. The meeting was also attended by the two members of the dell’International Scientific Advisory Board, prof. David Sachs (Harvard Medical School) and dr. Emanuele Cozzi (Azienda Ospedaliera, Padova) who gave their feedback on the project research activity. The following day, the Scientific and Executive meetings were also held.
23rd March 2012: Executive Commitee meeting
On the 23rd of March 2012, the Executive Commitee meeting has taken place. During the meeting the ongoing research activities for each research area of the project were discussed.
7th October, 2011: First meeting of Superpig Program
The first meeting of the Superpig project was held on the 11th October 2011 at the University of the Sacro Cuore of Cremona. The meeting was attended by the researchers involved in the project and the four research area (Genetic Engineering and cloning, Comparative physiology and immunology, Regenerative medicine, Biosafety) of the projects were discusses. Followed then the Scientific and Executive Committees meetings.
6th June, 2011: Superpig project starting date
The research and development project is led by Avantea in Cremona, which is involved in biotechnology research and animal reproduction. In addition to Avantea, other six partners with an high level profile in the biomedical field are involved in the project: Humanitas Institite, Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research in Bergamo, Biotechnology Research Centre of of the Catholic University of Cremona, Brescia IZSLER Institute, Multimedica Foundation of Milan, Institute for Molecular Genetics, National Research Council, Pavia.
